Cosmo publishes accuracy for HaloGPS down to around five feet, and independent testing supports that, it genuinely is among the most accurate location tracking available on a kids' watch. The condition attached to it matters. That figure describes open outdoor conditions with a clear view of the sky, a park, a sports field, a school pickup line. Indoors, inside shopping centres, or among tall buildings, accuracy falls off the way it does on any GPS device, and reviewers report location readings that freeze or drift while a child is inside a school building. Geofencing alerts have also been reported arriving later than expected. None of that makes the tracking unreliable, but it does mean treating it as a strong outdoor tool rather than a guarantee of precise indoor position.
