MEL Science runs monthly subscription boxes covering over 100 hands-on science projects across separate tracks: MEL STEM, MEL Physics, and MEL Chemistry, for children from about age 5 up to 16 and older. Kits include reusable equipment like borosilicate glassware and a macro lens, alongside the consumables for each month's experiments, and come with step-by-step instructions and video guides. Picking a Track, and Switching If It Doesn't Land

The three tracks are aimed at different ages and different kinds of curiosity. MEL STEM starts youngest and covers broad engineering and science projects, MEL Physics sits in the middle, and MEL Chemistry runs oldest and goes deepest into reactions. If your child is on the boundary between two, the more useful thing to know is that you aren't locked in: you can switch subjects from your profile at any point and the change applies to the next month's delivery (see the subject-switching FAQ above). That makes starting on the track that matches their current interest a lower-stakes choice than it looks, and it's worth knowing before paying for a full year upfront. Alongside the physical kits, MEL Science offers digital science lessons that run in VR with a headset or in 3D without one, the app now defaults to 3D mode, so a headset isn't required to use them.
