A Silicone Guitar and Motion-Sensing Drums

AeroBand makes two electronic instruments designed to be played quietly and packed away. The AeroBand Guitar has soft silicone strings, a detachable neck that folds into a compact case, a built-in speaker and a headphone jack. The PocketDrum 2 Max is a set of motion-sensing sticks and foot pedals that produce drum sounds without pads or a kit at all. Both connect over Bluetooth and both work as USB-C MIDI controllers. Accessories cover bags, straps, strings, microphones and headphones. Orders ship from international warehouses to more than a hundred markets, with no delivery to PO Boxes.

Both Are MIDI Instruments Underneath

What you are buying in both cases is a controller shaped like an instrument, and that is the honest way to judge them. The drums have no striking surface and no rebound, so they build coordination and timing but not the stick control a practice pad or a real kit teaches. The guitar's silicone strings are softer than steel and the folded neck is shorter than a full scale, so chord shapes and muscle memory carry across while the feel does not. Both need a phone or tablet for full functionality. As silent practice at home, as something to travel with, and as MIDI input into a recording setup, they do that job well. As a substitute for learning on the real instrument, neither is meant to be one.
