A Narrow Catalog Built Around Jackets

Capelin-Crew is a direct-to-consumer brand making technical winter outerwear, and the catalog is narrow by design. Jackets are the core of it, split between ski jackets and snowboard jackets in men's, women's and unisex cuts. Around those sit snow pants, insulated mid-layers and base layers, gloves and winter accessories. The construction is what you would expect of the category rather than of the price: waterproof shells, breathable insulation and the usual pocket and vent arrangements for cold-weather activity. The company sells into more than a hundred countries from a single fulfillment network, which is how it reaches that range without regional stockists, and it prices below the established technical brands.

The Return Window Closes Before You Ski

The return terms are tighter than the category norm and they matter more here than they would elsewhere. The window is fifteen days, counted from the date the order ships rather than the date it reaches you, so transit comes out of it. Items have to go back unused, unworn, unwashed and unaltered, in the original packaging, and the return shipping is yours to pay. Anything bought on sale is final: it cannot be returned or exchanged at all. Put those together with the way winter gear gets bought, often weeks ahead of a trip, and the practical consequence is that the window will usually have closed before the jacket has been anywhere cold. Whatever you need to check, check it indoors and check it immediately.
