Machines Sized for a Spare Room

MERACH makes home fitness equipment, weighted toward cardio machines meant to fit in a room people also live in. The range covers rowers in air, water and magnetic resistance, walking pads and folding treadmills, upright and recumbent exercise bikes, vibration plates, steppers, and a smaller line of strength and recovery gear. Most machines pair with the MERACH app for guided sessions and performance tracking. Orders ship free within the forty-eight contiguous states from US warehouses, though some products ship from China and carry a shipping charge of their own. Equipment comes with a one-year warranty on the frame and parts, which registering the product extends to two.

A Letter of Medical Necessity Comes First

Paying with a health savings or flexible spending account is not a discount, and the difference is worth understanding before counting on it. The IRS treats exercise equipment as a general wellness purchase unless it is bought to treat, manage or prevent a diagnosed condition, which in practice means a letter of medical necessity issued by a licensed clinician after a health review. Wanting to lose weight or get fitter does not meet that threshold by itself. Where someone does qualify, what they gain is the value of spending pre-tax dollars rather than money off the price, so the benefit depends on their own tax position, and the plan administrator has the final say on whether a claim stands.
