Will It Fit Your Door?

This is the question to answer before looking at prices. August retrofit locks work with a standard single-cylinder deadbolt, the common type with a key outside and a thumbturn inside. They replace the thumbturn only. They don't work with a double-cylinder deadbolt that takes a key on both sides, with mortise locks, or with several non-standard styles, and door thickness and latch type can also rule a door out. August publishes a compatibility checker for this, and it takes a couple of minutes with a photo of your existing hardware. The other thing to check is connectivity. Newer locks include Wi-Fi; older Bluetooth models only work from within range unless you add a separate bridge.
